Tips for Parents
Give them time: Young children often need a good 10-15 seconds of thinking time. Resist the urge to jump in with the next clue too quickly. That “I KNOW IT!” moment is worth the wait.
Let them ask questions: “Is it an animal?” “Can I eat it?” Encourage yes/no questions as part of the game. This builds logical thinking skills naturally.
Use riddles in a scavenger hunt: Hide riddle cards around the house or garden. Each solved riddle reveals the next location. Our printable scavenger hunts use the same concept and are ready in 10 minutes.
Let kids make up their own: Turn the tables! Ask your child to describe something with three clues. It’s a brilliant way to develop vocabulary and descriptive language.
