How It Works

Begin your Egyptian adventure by printing and setting up 8 stations throughout your space. Give each explorer their map and decoder card, then send them on a quest to solve riddles at each location. They follow clues, answer challenges, and collect rewards. With bonus stations available, you can extend the hunt or add surprise twists. Finally, gather all explorers and present their official certificates as they’re crowned honorary pharaohs.

Everything is self-explanatory and flexible: You can play the scavenger hunts indoors or outdoors, depending on weather and space.

⏰ How much time do I need to prepare?
Plan about 30–45 minutes to print the materials, cut them out and set up the stations.
If you want to decorate or prepare a treasure chest, it may take a little longer – but everything is ready to play even without extra effort.
👧👦 What age group are the scavenger hunts suitable for?
Our scavenger hunts are designed to be ideal for children aged 4 to 12.
Each scavenger hunt includes different difficulty levels or variations, allowing you to adjust them perfectly to the age and group – whether preschoolers, primary school kids or little puzzle experts.

💡 Tip: If you have mixed-age groups, you can easily combine the different riddle variations.
Since your purchase includes all age levels, you can mix tasks so younger kids have fun and older children still feel challenged. That way, the adventure stays exciting for everyone!

🏠🌳 Can the scavenger hunt be played indoors or outdoors?
Yes! All of our adventures are designed to be played flexibly
in the living room, garden, playground, park or even the forest.
The instructions include tips on how to adapt the stations to your environment so the game works anywhere.
🧩 What materials do I need?
You only need a few things that you usually already have at home:

  • Printer & scissors
  • Pens, glue, tape
  • Envelopes or small hiding spots
  • Optional craft supplies (e.g. string, balloons or coins – depending on the theme)
  • A treasure or small goodies for the final reward

A detailed material list is included in every scavenger hunt – clear and easy to follow.
Everything can be created using simple household materials, without much effort.

🕒 How long does the scavenger hunt last?
Depending on the route, age of the children and group size, a scavenger hunt usually lasts 60 to 120 minutes.
If you include the optional extra tasks or craft stations, you can extend the adventure as long as you like.
🏆 What is the goal of the scavenger hunt?
At the end, there is usually a hidden treasure, certificate or reward that you can personalize –
such as a treasure box filled with sweets, small prizes or handmade medals.
But the most important part is: team spirit, fun and movement!
🎈 For which occasions is the scavenger hunt suitable?
Our scavenger hunts are perfect for:

  • Birthday parties
  • Family celebrations
  • School or kindergarten events
  • Holiday activities
  • Theme parties (e.g. detectives, knights, space, enchanted forest, etc.)

They can be used spontaneously or as a well-planned party activity – whatever you prefer.

🔊 How do the audio files work?
1. What format are they in and how can I play them?
The audio files come in standard .mp3 format. You can play them with any normal music player on a phone or tablet – no extra app or special software needed. Just download and press play.

2. What is the best way to play them during the scavenger hunt?
The easiest option is to download the files before the hunt starts, so you don't rely on mobile internet outdoors.
For larger groups or outdoor play, a small Bluetooth speaker helps all children hear the story clearly. The files are numbered, so you can play them in the correct order – matching each station.

3. Are they just simple read-aloud audios?
No 🙂 The audio files are designed to be narrative and lively, so the kids feel like they are inside the story. The messages are not just read aloud – they sound like small audio-drama moments at each station. This boosts attention and keeps everyone deeply engaged.

💡 One more tip:
If you want to create an extra magical atmosphere, use small theme-matching decoration ideas (e.g. magnifying glasses and footprints for detective hunts, stars and planets for astronauts, magic wands for little wizards, etc.).
This creates real adventure vibes and makes the kids proud of their mission!

Got this for my son’s 10th and it kept the whole party busy. They were little archaeologists for the afternoon, racing round the house solving clue after clue with toy scarabs. 9 of them followed the trail for the best part of an hour. I loved the decode-the-hieroglyph clues. We’ll definitely be back for another theme.

  2. Hassan Iqbal (verified owner)

My son is obsessed with ancient Egypt and this was a dream come true for his 10th. We wrapped a couple of the kids as ‘mummies’ and they decoded clues like little archaeologists. The Egyptian details are genuinely interesting and even taught them a thing or two. Seven kids, about 75 minutes. Easily the highlight of the whole party.

  3. Claire Webb (verified owner)

Got this for my son’s 9th and it kept the whole party busy. They were little archaeologists for the afternoon, racing round the house solving clue after clue with toy scarabs. 6 children took part and they were absorbed for a happy 45 minutes. “Best party ever,” according to my son — high praise indeed.

  4. Gail Ali (verified owner)

Did this with my daughter and a few of her friends one afternoon. We kitted everyone out with toy scarabs and off they went round the garden as little archaeologists. We had 8 kids in total and it kept them busy for about 50 minutes. What really stood out was the decode-the-hieroglyph clues. My daughter is still talking about it weeks later.

  5. Daniel Mills (verified owner)

Bought this for my daughter’s 10th Egyptian party and it was the highlight of the day. The children became little archaeologists, hunting down each clue all over the living room and hallway with toilet-roll ‘mummy’ wraps. 9 of them followed the trail for around 60 minutes. I loved the genuinely interesting Egyptian facts. “Best party ever,” according to my daughter — high praise indeed.

My son (9) has been into Ancient Egypt since a school trip to the British Museum, so this hunt was perfect for his birthday. Pyramids, hieroglyphs, pharaohs — the theme is really committed and you can tell care has gone into it. Seven children, about 75 minutes of solid focus. The educational angle is a nice bonus too. Truly excellent product.

  7. Brian H. (verified owner)

My son is really into ancient Egypt right now so this was perfect. The clues were clever without being too hard. We went for about 75 minutes and all the kids stayed focused the whole time, which says a lot.

  8. Brittany T. (verified owner)

Bought this for my daughter’s Egyptian mythology phase (she’s 9 and currently obsessed lol). She loved the theme and the clues were clever! Docking one star only because a couple clues were a little hard to hide in our apartment layout, but that’s more of a me problem than the product. Overall really fun and definitely worth the price.

  9. Naomi Ferris (verified owner)

Pulled this out for a playdate and it more than did the job. We kitted everyone out with toy scarabs and off they went round the house as little archaeologists. 7 children took part and they were absorbed for the best part of an hour. Would happily buy from here again.

Ran this for the kids during the school holidays. We kitted everyone out with toilet-roll ‘mummy’ wraps and off they went all over the living room and hallway as little archaeologists. 6 children took part and they were absorbed for well over an hour. The clues were pitched just right and never frustrated them. Couldn’t recommend it more to other parents.

A wonderful journey through time! The kids were so immersed in the story of ancient Egypt that even we adults ended up solving the riddles with them. Especially lovely: Everything is beautifully designed and explained in a child-friendly way. An absolute recommendation

Perfect for my daughter’s Egyptian-themed 11th — exactly what I’d hoped for. The kids tore round the garden as little archaeologists, following the trail from one clue to the next. We tested the Egypt version with a group of 10- to 12-year-olds – and they were absolutely fascinated! The hieroglyph puzzle was a huge hit. High-quality and educational at the same time

  19. Poppy O’Brien (verified owner)

My daughter is absolutely Egyptian-mad, so this was the obvious choice for turning 10. They were little archaeologists for the afternoon, racing around the house solving clue after clue with toy scarabs. 8 of them followed the trail for the best part of an hour. What really stood out was the genuinely interesting Egyptian facts. Easily the best party activity we’ve done — worth every penny.

Set this up as a half-term treat and it was a lifesaver. They were little archaeologists for the afternoon, racing around the house solving clue after clue with toilet-roll ‘mummy’ wraps. All 9 children were captivated for well over an hour. I docked a star only because we needed a touch more space than expected, but it worked well in the end.
