We got to try out two versions of the jungle scavenger hunt while on vacation (our youngest is 4, the older three are 8). Since it rained during the week, we used it as a fun vacation surprise to wrap things up.
We started with a map that had to be filled with stickers at each station — that alone was a huge highlight for the kids!
One tip from me: keep the stickers separate so you don’t lose them along the way.
There were 8 stations in total, and everything was included — deciphering, puzzles, counting tasks, and even movement games in between! The only thing I would’ve wished for was an alternative for the first station, since our 4-year-old can’t read yet and they had to decode a message. But other than that, there were plenty of options so she never felt left out.
The whole scavenger hunt also comes with extra mini-games and helpful tips, so you could easily stretch it out to 4 hours if you wanted!
All of the kids really enjoyed it, and it definitely saved me tons of planning and prep time.
My recommendation: go through each station beforehand just to make sure everything fits and so you know exactly what’s coming. (For example, put together the puzzle once and take a photo as a cheat sheet.)
You can even do that while cutting everything out!
I put in a bit more effort and glued most of the pieces onto thicker paper so they wouldn’t blow away in the wind. There’s even a ready-made cheat sheet included, which is super practical!
Overall, the whole package — invitations, certificates, décor ideas, coloring sheets — is incredibly extensive.
For any parent who wants to plan a themed birthday party or, like us, just a really fun treasure hunt, I can warmly recommend these scavenger hunts!
